Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Bev Hall, the artist and teacher behind Willowbank Crafts and Texture Beyond the Palette™. With more than 30 years of experience as an educator and painter, I understand how important it is to break a new skill into manageable steps.

My years working with students who needed differentiated instruction shaped the way I teach today: clearly, patiently and without assuming that everyone learns in the same way.

My goal is to help you enjoy the process, understand Paperclay techniques and feel proud of what you create. You do not have to design your own designs right away. Most painters need time and repetition before they feel ready to adapt a design independently.

You are welcome to copy my projects while you learn the Paperclay techniques and build confidence.

Yes. The lessons are designed to be approachable for beginners, and each Paperclay project is taught one step at a time.

No. There is no shipping involved. You supply your own Paperclay, paints, brushes and surface. A complete supply list is provided for each project.

I usually demonstrate with DecoArt Americana acrylics, but you may substitute comparable colours from the paints you already own.

No. Lessons are recorded and stored in Membership.io so you can watch at a time that works for you.

Yes. Patterns and line drawings downloaded during your membership are yours to keep for your personal painting use.
